As President of Time iCR, Shafique Shamji is responsible for the company’s overall strategic direction and management as it continues its leadership position in delivering customized, managed and hosted advanced speech-enabled call processing solutions. In his leadership role Shafique’s leadership responsibilities include:
Developing key strategic relationships and alliances, supporting the company’s development.
Shamji has more than 15-years experience in telecommunications and information technology. He was most recently vice-president of network services for Fidelity National Information Solutions (FNIS) in Santa Ana, Calif., where he was responsible for numerous departments within the organization, including network architecture, engineering and services, field operations for desktop and server installations, computer telephony solutions, telecom operations, data center operations, all distributed systems and project management. Shamji joined FNIS (then Micro General Corp.) in December 1999 and was part of the executive team that grew the company from revenues of US$40 million to more than US$400 million in three years through a combination of acquisitions and organic growth.
Before joining FNIS, Shamji was chief operating officer and CIO for TeleHub Network Services in Chicago, where he managed network engineering, network provisioning, network operations and information systems groups. He was part of the executive team that grew the company’s customer base from approximately 60,000 subscribers to more than 800,000 subscribers in 18 months.
Prior to Telehub, Shamji was the Executive Director of Advanced Network Solutions, AT&T Canada, where he was responsible for working with the company’s major customers and partners in providing customized solutions. Under Shafique’s leadership, the group succeeded in increasing net new revenues by more than $100 million per year. He also spent a number of years at Bell Canada and Nortel in the engineering and marketing departments respectively.
Shamji obtained his Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. Born in Uganda, he emigrated to Canada in 1972. Currently, Shamji resides in Ottawa with his wife and two children.
